This is the kind of info we should be using to discredit adversaries
Radical Islamists who claim to hold the moral high ground are often vulnerable to revelations about their own behavior.
It is important for the US and its allies to diminish and undermine the moral stature of radical Islamists by publicizing information that disgraces them in the eyes of their followers and supporters. In shame-based cultures, this disgrace can extend to the financial and ideological sponsors of the perpetrators.
Unfortunately, the US is backing certain radical Islamist groups, which makes the the job of discrediting them very difficult.
In this video, posted on Liveleak.com, a Syrian imam who became commander of the Ahab Al Sahaba Battalion – part of the US-backed Free Syrian Army – is shown committing incest with his granddaughter.
Liveleak identifies the imam by his name, and says that he runs the mosque in the eastern Syrian town of Idlib.
A lot of this type of activity has happened in Iraq and Afghanistan, but the US is not known to have made effective use of the imagery.
Liveleak titles the incest as “rape,” and identifies both the imam and the young woman or girl by name. Click here to the Liveleak post, which contains a warning due to the disturbing nature of the video.
In the video, the girl’s face is plainly seen, and her voice is clearly audible.
